I took a great class at Stitches this weekend called "Stashology" The teacher gave us some great ideas on how to use stash yarns and made me really appreciate my many random balls of yarn. Instead of storing them in a book, I thought it might be nice to display them out in the open so I can be thinking of new combos when I look at them.

Do you have ways of displaying your stash you like?

Thanks for any and all ideas!

I have my smallest (ball is smaller than an apple) scraps in a glass vase on my kitchen table. The larger ones are in a mid-sized rubbermaid tote awaiting charity projects.

you can use them to decorate just like paint, thinking only about colors and textures:
In a vase or a metal bucket like flowers, in a bowl like fruits

pink orange and red create a rainbow, brown green and blue for a landscape, and creating a color wheel is very inspiring for new project.

you can make a room divider, a curtain out of long scrap yarn hanging, braid several yarn together and hang a plant, or create napkin ring, use it to tie up a gift, or even make jewelry.
