Hey there, knit-buddies!

Has anyone used Swish from KnitPicks? It's their dk-weight superwash.

I'm thinking of making a casual-yet-elegant sweater for myself, and so dk superwash sounded like the way to go. But I don't know if I want to spend allllll that money without groping the yarn first. (I'm a groper. Admit it, you knit so you can be a groper too.)

Pros? Cons? Alternates?

Thanks, guys!

Me too - I wish I could cop a feel, and get a real eye full.

I am currenlty heeming and hawing over some of the Cotlin (much more reasonable price).

I have used their worsted weight merino superwash. It looks like the same fiber, just a different weight. As most superwashes, it was soft and light, and washed up a little softer. I did find about 2-3 knots per ball, which in general makes me mad (I used the bare, so it was 200 yards on a hank). However, their knots are very small and tough, almost like they were spun together, so I admit to leaving them in several places. When I washed it, it stretched out considerably in the washing machine (and gave me a heart attack). However, the dryer shrunk it back up. I've never experienced that before, but other knitters assured me this was okay. All in all, it's good yarn. It's not knock-you-off your seat soft yarn, like Lorna's Laces, but it's amazingly good for the price. When I was working on it and other knitters fondled the yarn, they all loved it.

I will say that, before I ordered enough for a sweater, I ordered one ball of each yarn I was considering, as well as a color card.
